Lunch will be a relaxing time to sit back and soak up more West Marin air and atmosphere. To satisfy the appetite you'll work up walking village lanes and garden paths, you have many agreeable choices.
- You might decide to enjoy a delicious catered buffet salad lunch while gazing over the blue waters of Tomales Bay from historic Inverness Yacht Club dating from 1914.
- Between 11:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. festive tables will be set up for those who have pre-ordered the catered salad buffet.
- Lunch includes your choice of beautiful salads to please both vegetarians and carnivors as well as assorted breads, cookies and a soft drink or mineral water; there will be coffee and tea available as well.
- In the village of Inverness you might decide to purchase picnic food (outdoor tables and views abound) or to eat at one of the local restaurants before enjoying some shopping.
While in the village, be sure to see another historic Inverness site, The Gables, the handsome 1897 house now home to The Inverness Library and the Jack Mason Museum of West Marin History.
- The current exhibit by local historian Dewey Livingston offers photographs of Inverness before and after the 1906 Earthquake to enrich your knowledge of local history and “sense of place.”
- The Inverness Garden Club plants and maintains the Literary Garden as part of its Community Projects program; a docent will be available between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. to greet you and answer questions.

Water will be available at the White House Pool parking lot as well as in all the gardens. Restrooms will be available at The Inverness Yacht Club, the White House Pool parking lot and two other locations near the homes.
