Application Guide

DEADLINE - Applications postmarked later than March 31st are not eligible for consideration.

First Year Applicants:

All high school graduates or current college students who are applying for the first time are required to complete an Application Form which includes personal, financial and scholastic data, and to submit two short essays, obtain three letters of recommendation and official transcripts.  The form, (2012-13_igcsf_scholarship_app.pdf) is available to download below, under "Attachment".

Continuing Scholars:

Current scholarship recipients are required to complete a Reapplication Form which includes personal and financial data, and to submit one personal essay and one letter of recommendation. Awards are contingent on receipt of official documentation of satisfactory completion of units and grades.  The form, (2012-13_igcsf_scholarship_re-app.pdf) is available to download below under "Attachment".

The Scholarship Committee in its 2008-09 cycle added a Horticultural Scholarship of $5,000 which is offered to college students, preferably a junior or senior, who is majoring in horticulture or a related field of study.
